Plata Cubana Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the use of Plata Cubana (platacubana.com), its apps and its help centre. By creating an account or using the service you accept this version.
1. Who we are
Plata Cubana is a personal project, developed and maintained independently: it is not associated with any registered company or third party. Any questions about these terms or the service can be sent to ceo@mercamoney.com.
2. What Plata Cubana is
Plata Cubana is a platform with tools to count cash in several currencies (CUP, USD, EUR and others), a calculator, a daily cash register and an exchange-rate converter, and with services such as classified ads, business catalogues and orders, messaging and this help centre. It is provided "as is", with no guarantee that it covers every possible use case.
3. Testing phase
Plata Cubana is in a testing phase. There may be bugs, changes from one version to the next or temporary service interruptions without prior notice. That is why we recommend that you do not use a password you already use on other platforms or services: use a different, exclusive password for your Plata Cubana account while this phase lasts.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens in your account.
- The details you give us (email address, username and, if you add it, phone number) must be real and yours.
- You must be of legal age under the laws of your country to create an account: the service handles financial information and is not intended for minors without the supervision of a responsible adult.
- You can ask for your account and your data to be deleted at any time by writing to ceo@mercamoney.com.
5. Account levels and Premium licences
There are free accounts and Premium accounts, with more features. Premium is currently activated manually, by an administrator or an authorised distributor, with an activation code, and not through a payment gateway inside the app.
Plata Cubana does not yet process payments inside the app. Any payment arrangement to obtain a Premium licence (cash, transfer or any other means) is agreed directly between you and whoever sells you the activation code, outside the app: Plata Cubana takes no part in that transaction and is not responsible for it.
6. Your data
We keep the minimum needed for the service to work and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. The details are in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
7. Limitation of liability
As a personal project with no company behind it, Plata Cubana is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for financial losses, for business decisions made on the basis of the service, or for loss of data caused by technical failures, misuse or service interruptions.
8. Changes to these terms
When these terms change we will publish a new version, with its effective date and a summary of the change. Previous versions can be consulted in the history. If a change requires your acceptance, we will ask for it before you continue using the service.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, the country of residence of the person who develops and maintains Plata Cubana.
